Qalam Collegiate Academy is committed to offering quality education to its students. In order to fulfill this commitment, QCA follows the guidelines set by the TEA (Texas Education Agency). Therefore, Qalam Collegiate Academy offers STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness), starting 3rd grade and consequently our curriculum is based on the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills). However our goal is not just to ensure success in standardized assesments but also to provide a curriculum that is both rigorous and provides opportunities to build on and practice high order thinking skills and real world applications. Curricula such as Eureka, and Stemscope are used in the classrooms to create a meaningful learning experience and empower our learners with the essential 21st‑century skills.
It is a part of our mission at QCA as well as our great privilege to be able to prepare our students for a lifelong commitment towards the learning of the sacred sciences and a deep sense of social responsibility. Starting from Kindergarten, our vision for our students is to provide an education that will set the foundation for their future learning and spiritual development. Students are introduced to the miraculous beauty of the Quran through studying Quranic Arabic and the Islamic Studies classes aim to build a well-rounded understanding of the applications of their faith thus laying a foundation for self-improvement and excellence. Daily Quran classes prepare students for a lifelong commitment towards the learning, recitation and understanding of the divine word.
